TECHNIQUE – 10 Week Series Spring

class size limited to 8 students
Held at home studio with ballet barre and mirrors
Individual Technique – No Partner Required
Tango technique drills and training in body mechanics, musicality, strengthening and stretching. Exercises for a grounded walk, stable pivots and proper use of disassociation and cross lateral movements. Classes are designed to condition the physical body (tone, control, ease of movement, muscle memory) and expand your body awareness (embodiment, conscious movement, alignment). A friendly space for asking questions and exploring what you need to develop your dance.
Foundation Technique Classes are for both leader and follower roles. We encourage students to do technique training to compliment the partner work. There is a technique component in all of our classes however the primary focus of our partner work is communication and connection. If you are doing individual technique training you will be better prepared for the partner work. Wear comfortable clothes and bring dance shoes as well as socks.
